Route : Leh - Likir - Alchi - Yangtang - Ang - Khalse - Leh - Semur - Diskit - Hundar - Panamik - Samstanling - Leh

Day 01 : Arrival Leh
 
 Upon arrival in Leh, Sahara Travels representative will welcome, assists and provide you transfer from airport to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for acclimatisation. In the evening a round of the Leh bazaar and Leh palace. Meals and overnight at hotel.
 
 Day 02 : Leh - Sightseeing
 
 After breakfast proceed to visit some popular and attractive Buddhist monasteries (gompas) of Ladakh. The most popular being Hemis - 40 kms away from Leh on Leh - Manali road is the richest and biggest monastery and Shey palace. Overnight at hotel.
 
 Day 03 : Leh - Likir (via Alchi) & Trek to Yangtang …………….. 4 hours
 

 After early breakfast drive to Likir enroute visiting Alchi monastery 70 kms from Leh near Saspal on Leh - Kargil road. The primary attraction of these gompas is however their 1000 year old wall paintings. From Likir trek to Yangtang. Meals and overnight at camp.
 
 Day 04 : Yangtang - Ang ………………………………………….. 4 hours
 
 After early breakfast leave for Ang enroute passing through a small valley and camp at the river side for overnight stay.
 
 Day 05 : Ang - Khalse ………………………………………….. 5 hours
 

 After breakfast trek to Khalse via Tingsmogang, a village with apricot and apple orchards, a rich and prosperous village. Proceeed further to Tea village and then a gompa (kaza). After crossing the Bongbong-la pass arrive Khalse and drive back to Leh and check into the hotel for overnight.
 
 Day 06 : Leh - Semur (Nubra vallley)……………………..110 kms
 
 After early breakfast drive to Semur, the route takes the traveller over the Khardung-la. The highest motorable road in the world. (18,300 feet/ 5578m). Meals and Overnight in tents
 
 Day 07 : Semur - Diskit - Hunder - Semur ………………………….100 km
 

 After breakfast drive to Diskit, the main village of Nubra valley with a gompa and bazar. The tour then proceeds to Hundar with an area of sand dunes with a small population of Bactrian camels, Shaggy double - humped animals which in the old times were used as pack animals on the central Asian trade routes. Drive back to Semur for overnight stay.
 
 Day 08 : Semur - Panamik - Samstanling monastery - Leh ………..160kms
 

 After breakfast drive to Panamik, the last village of this circuit, once a busy trade centre. On the way back visit the Nubra’s major monastery, the Samstanling located on the mountain side just above Semur. Afternoon drive back to Leh and check into the hotel for overnight annd meals.
